GO-Box
A road toll is collected on all Austrian motorways and expressways. The
toll is collected from trucks and coaches over 3.5 tons. The toll is
time, emission and distance dependant and is collected through an electronic unit
in the vehicle, called a GO-Box. The GO-Box is simply placed inside the
vehicle’s windscreen and does not require any additional installation.
Use of the GO-Box enables the toll to be paid without stopping, and when
in use the device emits a short bleep when passing through the control
points.
